International Standards

Recognising the importance of compatible operation with national and international networks beyond Australia, the AJC Network is designed in accordance with relevant international standards and guidelines.  These include:

ITU-T:  Includes relevant recommendations in the G Series for Transmission systems and media, digital systems and networks, M Series for maintenance aspects and Y Series for Global information infrastructure, Internet protocol aspects and next-generation networks.

IEEE:  Includes Ethernet standards.

ICPC:  International Cable Protection Committee recommendations include cable crossings, cable protection and cable repair.
