Cable System Facts - Key Points

Transmission •  Bit Error Rates better than ITU-T Rec G.826/828 with associated Q-Factors stable and with good end of life margin.
Network Protection •  SDH Span and ring switching operated in accordance within ITU-T Rec G.841.
•  Wavelength protection also available.
Optical Fibre Cable and Repeaters •  Continuous Optical Time Domain Reflectometry measurements indicate stable performance with no anomalies.
Latency •  The figures of 36msec Sydney-Guam, 20msec Guam-Japan and 56msec Sydney-Japan are as expected for these distances. ITU-T Recs Y.1541 and Y.1542 indicate that latency in the terrestrial components of a User to User connection largely subsume differences in the international component.
Interoperability •  The AJC equipment complies with relevant ITU-T Recommendations resulting in totally successful interoperability with similarly compliant backhaul or connectivity equipment.
