AJC - SDH Based Options
1. Protected Because of AJC's exceptional availability, protected capacity is an ideal solution for traditional voice traffic, high grade private leases and other services requiring a high level of network protection.
2. Unprotected Unprotected traffic allows customers to transport IP traffic without paying a premium for capacity. It enables customers to incorporate AJC capacity into the mesh networks to substantially enhance regional network survivability. AJC offers its advanced 1:n wavelength protection for unprotected STM-16.
a. Pre-emptible (PUT) Traffic that is carried over the protection channels when that capacity is not used for the protection of normal traffic. Extra traffic is not protected. Whenever the protection channels are required to protect the normal traffic, the extra traffic is pre-empted.
b. Non pre-emptible (NUT) Traffic that is non-pre-emptible unprotected is carried on protection locked-out channel which may not be pre-empted (e.g. by protection switches).
A channel in a MS shared protection ring provisioned bi-directionally to provide transport without MS shared protection ring automatic protection switching. Non-pre-emptible unprotected channels are provisioned from (corresponding) working and protection channel pairs.
3. FlexProtect AJC's FlexProtect product is more oriented to IP and combines the extraordinary availability of AJC Service Path SDH for critical traffic while boosting throughput with additional traffic load on the Protection Path. This product provides protection options utilising both span and ring SDH protection features which fit well within ITU guideline standards for service level restoration.
4. 2.5G Clear AJC provides Clear STM16 as a 2.5Gbt clear channel product. The service is offered as unprotected SDH with built in wavelength protection offering all the benefits of AJC's network reliability with built in Span protection options.
5. Ethernet Ethernet Private Line (EPL) brings the benefits of VC-4 scalability allowing customers to connect to AJC's state of the art network on Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces.
AJC - Wavelength Based Options
1. Direct Wavelength Access Carriers can integrate AJC into their mesh networks using 10G Direct Wavelength Access.
